I just sent out Surveys via Backerkit. Please be sure to fill out your survey ASAP. The sooner surveys are finished the sooner I can finalize formatting that includes the special thanks credit for those of you in the physical rewards tiers and also gives me the info I need to deliver the finished e-books for digital rewards only backers.
If you didn't get your survey go to this page to recover your survey. If you use your apple account to log into Kickstarter, sometimes I have to be manually update your email so you can receive your survey. In those instances, please reach out to me so I can update your email and resend your survey link.
Expect to see digital rewards in your inbox in Early September!
EDIT: If you are paying your pledge over time surveys will send once final payments are made. You'll still get your e-books next month though!

Thank you for an incredible campaign! I'm so excited to bring these special editions to life. Creating these beautiful books wouldn't be possible without your support and I appreciate all of you, whether this is your first campaign with me or your 8th!
What's Next:
About Payments
Errored Payments: Kickstarter charged cards last night but there are about 21 people whose payments errored (totaling almost $2,600😱 ). It's crucial payments get resolved. If you're one of these people, Kickstarter should have emailed you or you'll see a big red banner when you log in. IF THIS IS YOU You have about a week to fix your card info so be sure to fix that ASAP.
Payment Plans: I enabled payment plans for this campaign, those that opted for payment plans when they pledged had their first payment taken last night with two more payments to follow. Production on the special editions will start once I receive the final payment installment from Kickstarter in about two months.
Surveys
Surveys will be going out in about TWO WEEKS. I'll post an update when I send out surveys to remind you. I had initially planned on using Kickstarter's new pledge manager. But turns out I cannot use that for this campaign. Therefore I'm going back to my tried and true Backerkit. This is a third party survey/pledge manager service that I've used for all seven of my prior campaigns.
Your Name in The Book: Filling out your survey in a timely manner is crucial to starting production on time. Backers $50 and up will have their name in the book's credits and I need you to let me know your name OR opt out if you prefer not to be credited.
Post Campaign Ad-ons or Upgrade Your Tier: All Items from this campaign will be available through Backerkit and you can either add them onto your existing tier or UPGRADE your pledge to a higher tier.
Expected Timeline:
- August- Surveys and final formatting with credits
- September- E-books delivered
- October-Production Starts
- January- Books arrive from printer and shipping begins
Of course there's always a chance of unexpected delays and roadblocks but because the books are written and formatted (minus the special credits page) there are few likely obstacles in our apart from manufacturing disasters that I hope do not occur! I'll be sending out monthly updates as we progress until the campaign is fulfilled so keep an eye out for that!
The way I am FERAL for this book. I got lucky enough to read an ARC of this book and I'm literally obsssed with it. And now Ava is blessing us with a gorgeous special edition paperback. I've never backed anything faster in my life.
I knew I had to read this gorgeous book! I mean just look at it. It has it all!
First Stretch Goal Unlocked (Double Sided Dust Jackets!)

Hello Lovely Backers,
As you may have seen in the headline, we've doubled our original funding goal and we've unlocked double sided Dust Jackets for the special edition hardcovers. This way whether you prefer typography or illustrated covers you can choose which side will face outward.
I'm so excited to get the other two dustjackets made for this series and I think Lauren's covers will be absolutely stunning. We've still got two weeks left in the campaign and plenty of time left to unlock more upgrades and goodies!
Up next when we hit 15k we'll get illustrated chapter headers and scene breaks! I've got an artist in mind who I'd like to work with that I'll reveal when we get closer to hitting the stretch goal.
An Amazing Start!

Hello my lovely backers! We had an incredible day one launch, smashed through our funding goal, got a coveted Project We Love (Thanks Kickstarter! I love you too. 😘) and we're well on our way to meeting our first stretch goal: double sided dust jackets!
Which I'll let you in on a little secret, the double side dust jackets are in progress and the ever talented and my many-times-over-collaborator Lauren Richelieu (Ghostinthegvrden) smashed the concept I had for book 1's dust jacket. That's how confident I am we'll meet this goal before the campaign ends!
We've had a strong start and I'm hoping we'll unlock even more beautiful upgrades along the way like custom headers and page breaks and custom edge designs.
